With roots in New England, Liza now lives on the Southern Oregon Coast with her artist husband, Johan. With a strong connection to the whimsical town of Ashland, Oregon, where Liza’s work can be found in a number of places, most prominently at the ‘Shepherds Dream’ store downtown.
Liza has been exploring the fine-art potential of wool for over a decade, primarily needle felting wool, with a more recent focus on tufting wool; the art of rug making.
Liza also works with lost-wax bronze casting sculptures, with new pieces being cast at Artworks Foundry in Berkeley, CA. The most prominent bronze sculpture being ‘Momentum’ a leaping Kirin with antlers and spiraling fur tufts- this elegant beast is a limited run of 12 editions.
